Michael & Sonya Abbott
Michael and Sonya met in Jr. High in a in a small school in a small town in Northern California. They were married in 1994 and lived in Reno where he was doing his undergraduate study and the University of Nevada, Reno. Within a year they relocated to Western North Carolina to help care for a family member who had fallen ill. What they thought was a temporary assignment became a life mission. It was at New Covenant Church in Clyde that the Lord redirected their steps and confirmed their call to ministry. After completing the Master’s Commission School of Ministry and graduating from Christian Life School of Theology Michael and Sonya relocated to Sylva to serve as Associate Pastors at LifeWay Community Church in 1998. In 2003 they accepted the invitation to serve their church as lead ministers.
Scott & Dianna Woodard
Campus Pastors, Rabun
Scott and Dianna began attending LifeWay Community Church in 1999 and soon realized they had found their church home. Their journey together in ministry started in 2003 when they came on staff at LifeWay as Student Pastors. In 2006 they made a transition into Children's Ministry. On April 1st, 2008 LifeWay sent out the Woodards to plant a new campus in Rabun County, GA. The Woodards now live in Tiger, GA and continue to serve as Campus Pastors at LifeWay's Rabun Campus.
Josh & Galadriel Lavere
Campus Pastors, Sylva
Josh and Galadriel LaVere have been in ministry at LifeWay Community Church since 2006. Josh has attended LifeWay since it began in 1997 and the two of them started attending together in 1999. They started out as the Youth Pastors at the Sylva Campus and are now the Campus Pastors in Sylva. They have been married since 2000 and have 3 children. They both have a passion for International Ministry and a desire to see the local church impact communities all around the globe.
Joe & Caroline Rooney
Joe and Caroline began attending LifeWay Community Church in 2009 as God radically changed their lives and their marriage. They jumped in and got plugged in to as many spots as possible from serving to outreaches to LifeGroups. Soon they found themselves hanging out with Revolution Students every week and found their place where God would use them to impact future generations.
